Your Mentor
My name is Porter Craig. I am the founder and CEO of Kota Mental Performance. I currently live I Fargo, North Dakota and going to school at North Dakota State University for wrestling, and psychology. I have a deep passion for sports, music, and personal growth. My journey with sports psychology began in 2022, my first year in college wrestling. I quickly learned about what it actually takes to be the greatest and since then, I have been studying and training in what I truly believe will make me achieve my fullest potential. I want to share with the world what I know and will continue to learn throughout my life. My mission is to serve, and do everything in my power to help athletes achieve their fullest potential.

Kota
I started this company because I wanted to share what I have learned on my journey in sports psychology. There is a very powerful meaning behind the name of my company and it directly relates to the specific ways I teach. The word "Kota" comes from an inspiring fable, but that's a story for another time. There is something unique about the material I have learned over the past couple years and why it matters so much in sports performance. Throughout your experience being mentored you will not only learn how create the results you desire, but also come to realize what truly matters most. One of those being happiness, because success does not bring happiness, happiness brings success.

Truth
I love all people. I will always try as hard as I can to be present with you and help you to the best of my abilities. However, loving someone means you want what is best for them, so I will always tell you what you need to hear, and not what you want to hear. Success knows how hard you have worked, and it will never cut you a break. I am direct and honest, but I promise that if you stay the course and keep pounding away despite the discouragement all around our society, you will build the character needed to overcome the noise and start a journey of being courageous and fearless.

Why?
It was C.S Lewis who said "When you put first things first, second things aren't suppressed, they increase. When you focus on what truly matters, the results are going to be pretty close to what they should be. In this generation, we worry and worry about things we cannot control and have extreme anxiety, but you must know that anxiety is simply just living out the future before it gets here. What lies ahead of you doesn't physically exist yet, so take it one day at a time and live present. When it comes down to it, what you think your biggest competition of your life is, doesn't matter the next day when you wake up. Something that will matter however, is who you become on the journey.
